I'm obviously inclined to hope that my kid said "Momma" first, but I'm not sure if this counts . . .
What do you think? Does it count as her first word? Or is it just babble?

I think you can claim that she said "momma" first. I don't hear her saying "dada" whether it's babble or not! ;-)
