Everything happens for a reason. You’re meant to date that loser, change your college major a half-dozen times and make lots of mistakes. In the end, you’re going to end up with a job you love and an amazing husband who makes you laugh every single day. Trust that and everything else will fall into place.
What last made you cry?
My daughter Hadley having her first virus/fever this week. There’s nothing more heartbreaking than a sick baby.
What keeps you up at night?
Other than a teething 10-month-old? Worrying that I forgot to do something at work.
Who would play you in the film of your life?
I love Julianne Moore.
What’s your karaoke song?
I have never and will never sing karaoke. Believe me, it’s best -- I can’t sing a lick.
What book has changed the way you think?
I must have read The Velveteen Rabbit over and over for a week straight when I was a kid. It breaks your heart into a million pieces.
What would you eat for your last supper and who would join you?
I’d have a bonkers amount of sushi with my entire family and all of my friends.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Right now? Biscoff spread. Soooo good.
What did you buy with your first pay check?
When I was in high school, I worked part time for minimum wage at a store that sold formal dresses. My first paycheck was $65 and you’d think I’d won the lotto. I’m pretty sure I filled my car up with gas and drove straight to the mall . . . only to realize shortly thereafter that $65 isn't actually that much.
What would be your desert island box set?
Probably Gilmore Girls. I've seen every episode a hundred times -- literally -- and it never gets old.
Who or what could you not live without?
Aside from the obvious (my husband, daughter, dogs) I’d have to say coffee. Definitely coffee.
If anyone (other than my Aunt Lisa) has missed me, I'm loving me some Instagram lately. Maybe they're right and it's the new blog? All I know is it takes a lot less effort when you've been home for 48 hours straight with a feverish baby who wants to do nothing other than watch cartoons curled up in your lap.
